Certification is based on a points scoring system, but with these things it's usually big issues such as a reproducable game crash that would cause it to fail.

There will be quite a few people upset by this delay. But what sort of testing do games get? There have been loads of broken games with lots of bugs that have still released.
it sucks, but its worth it. I would be pissed if they released it and it was crashing and messing up, then having to wait weeks while they patch it up. get it out right the first time.

It's a completely different architecture. Also the PS4 version has MUCH larger worlds. Would rather see it delayed than to have a buggy version launch, personally.
Must have found something pretty serious if Skyrim passed this process.

Yeah, I figured the PS3 version would have been harder than the PS4. Isn't the PS4 archetecture much closer to standard PC?

Yeah, I would think that it would be easier to get the PS4 version ported over too...but just because it's x86 doesn't mean that bugs dont show up. Ah well, another month or two isn't going to kill me...just have to keep working on my PS3 world then move it over to PS4 when that version is ready.
It's probably the graphics. I mean look at all the jaggies. It's clearly lacking proper AA.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

or far worse for sony if a game can crash in a predictable manner and leave the ps4 in such a way that access to system files is allowed and no longer protected due to the way the software has crashed. That is how Ps3/psp/wii all had their OS's hacked first by shoddy software flaws.
