Not bad for Hyrule Warriors, I would have liked it to do 100k+ but I was expecting anywhere between 50k & 100k

No, this really doesn't tell us anything. Zelda is much more popular in the West than in Japan, however the Musou series is much less popular in the West. The general prediction is that it will do much better in the West than in Japan through.

Completely different situations. Japanese consumers knew exactly what they were getting with Hyrule Warriors. Western Nintendo fans, I'm betting most of them will have no idea. They might buy it because it says Zelda on the box or they might avoid it because it's totally different from other Zelda games. How Nintendo advertises this could make a big difference. They highlight that it's a Zelda game, sales could go up. They highlight that it's a spin-off with different game-play mechanics and sales might drop. However, if they aren't really honest, it might hurt the brand and the overall reception of the game.
On topic, I think Hyrule Warriors did decent. The Musou fanbase simply isn't on the Wii U in vast numbers.
The big surprise for me was Frontier G doing that well on the Vita. Monster Hunter is ridiculous in Japan.
Lets look at other big Wii U exclusives FW Japan. According VGChartz.
Pikmin 3- 96k
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD- 31k
Wii Party U- 76k
Super Mario 3D World- 102k
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze- 38k
Mario Kart 8- 334k
Hyrule Warriors- 64k (based on the 69k and 79k)
See its not that bad. If you take off Mario Kart 8, it looks very good
Btw i was expecting 25k Wii U sales but 18k is good

Hey, I got a pretty good prediction (which is rare because I suck at it). I placed at 79k for first week, if I go by Famitsu numbers it was spot on, if I go by Media Create ones it was too high.
Anybody knows why there is so much difference for that game between both numbers?

At this point, it make not fall completely until the shipment sells out. I would be shocked it doesn't get discounted soon. |
Already happened a few days after release
At this rate, it won't match Shinobi Versus first day sales before at least 10 weeks lol
- Hyrule Warriors is 40K behind WO3U FW and sold less than half of SW4 FW, but 80K is far from bad. WiiU bump is downright ridiculous though.
- Monster Hunter didn't lift Vita sales at all. This ship has sailed...
- [PSV] Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment # <RPG> (Bandai Namco Games) {2014.04.24} (¥6.664) - 3.893 / 216.578 <80-100%> (+40%) --> OMG this is so good!

Well, at least you're being comedic about it.
Monster Hunter Frontier G is doing well on Vita since everybody already play it on pc, xbox, wii and ps3
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
