Wasn't that available digitally a week earlier? Oh and it's a remake of course.

A Link between Worlds sold over 200k first week in Japan, this probably less than 100k... |
And? The 3DS is a different story than Wii U or any home console in Japan for that matter.

I'm detecting some sarcasm here: you speak as though Nintendo didn't already know this.

Wii U software this week: 136,000 Total.
1 year ago: 34,000
last week: 37,500
More than half of Wii U software last week for Wii U is M8 with 20,000.
So:
136,000- 20,000 MK8(probabily 20,000): 116,000
Other 40% Wii U software (or little more): 116,000 - 16,000 = 100,000
So, i think that Hyrulw Warriors have sold between 95,000 and 105,000.

And what are you using to measure that Zelda is now more popular in Japan thanks to this?

Well if they knew of it before the next question would be why they didn't act upon it earlier.
So we can choose from either ignorant or incompetent. I like the first one. What's your choice?
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

This sounds like the data is over Obon (15th-18th), not the full week (HW launched the 14th btw), so we can't really extrapolate using weekly sales. The Japanese sales week that comes out tomorow will be August 11-17, so it excludes the last day of Obon. Basically what that means, is that this data tells us next to nothing :P

The fact that dynasty warrior games are popular there. At least 1/4 that will/have bought Hyrule Warriors must have sparked interest in the Zelda series.
SO they could try Zelda games. right? lol/
