Hah, you don't see what's coming? Micro-transactions, mate. And micro-transactions for an iPad game for a very popular franchise makes stock owners very happy.

It's owned in thirds by Nintendo, GameFreak, and Creatures Inc.. These three companies own The Pokemon Company which owns Pokemon. The other two companies are majority owned by Nintendo.

Well... My point is, it's not really exclusive to Nintendo. It can come out on non-Nintendo platforms (if ninty approves)

... any Nintendo franchise could come out on another platform if Nintendo approved it, lol. 

The main reason the Pokemon Company spun off into its own thing is because of all the merchandising/marketing the franchise had. Nintendo controls where every game goes, make no mistake about it.

I'd love to hav a new TCG game but you know how money hating companies are. Especially Nintendo, when it comes to proper Pokemon games.

It's official. Investors are stupid.

Don't they know Nintendo makes money from selling hardware ALONG with Pokemon? Not to mention the reduced revenue from cheaper price and recuced percentage of being third party. Their thinking is made out of jumping bandwagons, sometimes for no good reason.

It's F2P, and it's most likely just a port of the game online. They will most likely tie this to the existing card franchise, which is a rather smart thing to do.

It's cheaper to port rather than build something from the ground up.
