so instead of getting a free demo that you can play today, next month, a year from now, as you used to get every year, you get a paid trial that vanishes after 6 hours

Thats true, but would you want to pay for that?

I think most people didn't even know what EA Access really is and just bought it with certain expectations.

I bought EA Acess for the games that will be put in the vault later on, and the 10% discount on all Xbox One games digitally. 

Well worth it to me.

But its not a regular demo, it shouldnt be. If theyre paying monthly for early access, they expect it from the moment the early access version of the game launches to the moment the game officially launches.

Why would they get the full game for free? That would be a crazily bad decision by EA, how many people would ever buy an EA game again if they could play the full version of it for as much time as they want in the week before release without paying an extra penny. People are paying for EA access mainly for the vault, this is just a demo that is included in it. Considering it is the full game for a whole 6 hours that is pretty generous of EA.


I didnt say the full game for free. I said early access from the early access release TO the point where the game officially releases. Then they pay or decide to pay for the full game.

6 hours is not generous when they're paying, and early access is a key pillar of the service. Yes vault may be the main reason, the early access is a advertised component. Even though it does say limited, 6 hours is completely unfair.

Easily, you are paying for it.

Its not free, if it was anything you got would be a bonus.

Ea sold  them a service with out actually descirbing in detail what it entails.

Pretty much anyone that has signed up for EA access did so for the vault games, and quite possibly the 10% digital discount on games. This is just icing on the cake.


Its hidden behind a pay wall thus you are, spin things how ever you want.

you cant access the demo with out paying.

Those people should have read EA's description of the service. They said right off the bat you get a limited early access and it varies by game. For something like Dragon Age it might be 90 minutes of play time.

Has there ever been a demo that wasn't limited? Usually you get only 1 level or something, I know in previous FIFA games you would get only half a match and now they give you the full match. That is incredibly limited, this is the FULL game for a whole 6 hours. The amount you can play through in this blows away any and every demo ever.
