Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA: Early Access Is Limited To 6 Hours

That's not much of a big deal. Its only early access. Didn't expect to be able to play the whole game early...

Am I missing something? I didn't think having demos early was the main hook for this service... I thought it was for the vault games, and discount. Maybe I'm just clueless :(

What they mean is an early demo of the full game. And since it's not an actual split demo but the real game they have to limit it somehow. Who needs more than 6h to decide if if he will buy it? You know, the actual reason why demos exsist.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Well, I think if you are buying the full game at 10% discont you could get "unlimited" early play time. May be they will add it later.

Otherwise is just a "payed" demo. And we know that demos are not very financialy attractive and could even hurt sales.

I think it´s smart and fair what EA is offering.

Somebody that understands, thank you

A noble trait, lost on most folks here.

Also EA paid me to say it.

So we're ok with paying 30 dollars per year to demo games now? wow gaming is progressing!

... Are you serious?

You also get games in the vault and a 10% discount on EA games bought digitally, in addition to the demos.

After thinking about this with a team of analysts, we've all reached the unanimous conclusion of who gives a shit? 6 hours over the course of a 5 day period is a decent enough time to demo a game. But why would anyone need to demo Madden in the first place? Just play the last game in the series and imagine slightly prettier graphics.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

So this service is only good if you're a big fan of EA and buy multiple games from them on a yearly basis.

Ya know you could view it as:

EA Access: 5 dollars a month to play at least 1, probably more, games for 6 hours

PS Now: 5 dollars to play 1 game for 4 hours

Which is the better deal there?

Sigh.

Why do people constantly feel the need to turn these threads into EA Access vs PS Now? It's apples and oranges.

Non logical. EA access doesn't have a 5 dollar option. You need to buy the sub for 30 dollars.
