I't doesen't matter what they say or do... (people either gonna love it or hate it, why? I don't know.. they are either assholes or something after all
Ok not to be rude or anything why is it when Nintendo release a game, even thou it's just a remake of a 10 year old game or a game that is very similar to the good old days of snes/N64/PS1 games... "people gonna hate on it no matter what"... even thuo at the same time worship the ground on with a game that no one outside of the hardcore super fans can even understand.. sure great story and gameplay is one thing but listen to the same shit every day over and over again for 1-5 years...just so they can "enjoy" the game...
bahh Never mind me I've drunk to much anyway...so it's better I consentrait enough for another day
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Well, it worked for Half-Life 2 and Gordon Freeman. In fact, at points they do make fun of him and it worked.
I think they should add voice acting for random village people. Link should always remain silent though no matter what.
Make it So.
i dont see the point in adding voice acting to game like zelda. Everyone has it in their head how each character sounds, and there is no way nintendo would be able to satisfy that long standing thought we all have. Its easy for say cod as all the characters would just have american accents, but zelda has many different races in the game all sounding very different. how would a goron sound compared with a zora?

If u want some Skyward Sword reviews, even a few in Twilight princess, you will hear the reviewers asking for voice acting. Others have said it might ruin the game cuz, well, music is a huge part of LOZ. The interesting thing that made me discuss this is Hyrule Warriors. I have seen a couple of gameplay videos and interestingly, there is voice acting for the narrator that talks before each mission. Another thing is, the cutscenes dont feel like Ocarina of time or any other text based games, they are actual cutscenes with those normal LOZ reactions' sounds or whatever. The cutscenes are just mind blowing and I felt like someone has set the voices on mute. So I think Nintendo is afraid to add voices. They have like one shot at this: either fans will like the voice acting or completely critize the voices. What do u think ? I think they should do it in Zelda U and, perhaps, add a mute voices option. |
It's strictly financial imo. Nintendo doesn't have umlimited resources and they are very careful not to overspend.

I wouldn't say that, certain games like Kid Icarus: Uprising, The Last Story, Xenoblade and many others before shows that Nintendo is willing to put up money for voice work. It honestly seems to be a internal decision to not include voice work on the titles that classically have never had it. Which would be fine except for the fact that they are now including superb quality cinema cutscenes and having the characters speak in grunts, squels and text boxes instead of just nutting up and giving them voices.
I mean Link is literally the only one that doesn't need a voice actor (outside of his grunts and squels, which since OoT he has had a new for each game), although if I got to hear Nobuyuki Hiyama back on as Link and after the whole game of staying silent suddenly just bust out and start saying some crazy speech about justice, courage and not giving in at the end before the credits roll, I would consider that the best LoZ ending ever.
I don't think anybody would have a problem with VA in the series, as long as Link stays silent...
