Get Tropical Freeze. The music is amazing!! Also -- More variety in levels, more characters.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

DKCTF is by far the best platformer out. Its challenging, amazing to look at ( I have lost lives just admiring the view), and the soundtrack is awesome as well. GET IT PERIOD!!!
Donkey Kong; yes, definitely, go for it, it's absolutely marvelous. ^_^ Crazy production values, it's top-notch!
Wii Fit... Dunno. Never played the U version, but I got bored of the Wii sequel pretty fast.

| ibrahimman0 said: The main question is, should i get them ? I have played DK Country returns 3D on my 3ds last year in september. It was, without a doubt, the hardest 2D platfomer I have ever played. I did really enjoy it, but the thing is some of the reviews say it doesnt add much....
Now about Wii Fit U: for those who have played Wii Fit/plus please also share ur thoughts... Please reply.
...Also on unrelated subject, what young adult books do u recommend ? Bought John Green's book collection a week ago and cant stop reading. Already finished Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns and almost done with The fault in our stars. |
My suggestions...
DKC: TF -> NOT YET, you finished the previous game not long ago and you may get burn out because it is more of the same, it is a great game but is better if you just wait till the next Wii U shortage of games. I finished it 2 months ago and is a great game specially the music and the bosses, but I finished Returns in 2011, so it felt a little more fresh to me.
Wii Fit U -> NO. Unless you plan to create and schedule your days around it, you will just enjoy it a few days and then forget about it, and is a big expense
About books... I only read fantasy literature, but based on what you mentioned, I heard the Divergent saga is good and you may like it.
I found Wii Fit U to only be good if you want to work on your balance with some light cardio. Not really my thing.
DKC:TF I didn't enjoy as much as I'd hoped either 7.9/10
i didn't know gamespot still existed let alone have any relevance?? dk tf is a very good game but way to hard for me ha. Im tempted to get wii fit u as it is discounted at the moment. I work out a lot but i like the yoga and games of wii fit
Why do you make a big deal of that Gamespot review when EVERY single gamesite out there gave very good reviews for DKC:TF? Even the other editors at Gamespot declared that review of DKC:TF to be bullshit later on.

It depends on if you have a retro console. If you have a SNES, you're better off just getting the original DKC trilogy instead of the new game. It's just better all around (not saying the new one isn't great) and you can get all three games for about the price of TF.
Wii Fit U is pure casual. If you're not into that kind of thing, you won't want it.
Dkc:tf is the best donkey Kong game yet in my opinion, it's a must have game for wii u owners.
Tropical Freeze is an excellent game.
Wii Fit, not so much if you're having to spend for the meter and balance board.
Have you considered getting some eshop credit and getting some goodies off that? There's some excellent games on there.
In terms of books, it's not young adult, but I'm currently reading the Laundry Files books by Charles Stross. They're kind of like James Bond, but with geek humour and Cthulu, although it's very British, so I'm not sure how well the cultural jokes would come acros. I'm guessing Egypt isn't riddled with cycle lanes!
