Yes PS4 has been successful so far.
WiiU however, nope. XBO, strong start but has only been downhill since now selling less weekly then WiiU. Maybe the holidays can turn things around for it. 3DS is looking like it will only sell GBA numbers, definitely below 100m and then we come to the Vita... That one speaks for itself.
The way I see it, only 1 console out of the 5 will surpass its predecessor and HW sales overall will be down. Sure I could be wrong but I wouldn't say that that is crazy successful.

I would definitely not define this generation as "crazy-successful" considering how much sales have dropped compared to last gen.

No sir, not just one thread. When I get back from the supermarket I am expecting to see this forum spammed with xbox is the greatest threads . Like a wise man once said  “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

I don't know if this generation has been " crazy successful".. The PS4 is doing well, the XB1 is doing OK-ish, the WiiU is doing slightly below average numbers, the 3DS is also doing well and the Vita? Fucking dead...

Thanks to PS4; console gaming is doing well. Gimmicks dont do well always. We all know that.

In terms of sales, this gen has been very successful.
In terms of quality, its slipping.

I fear that the current trends will run out of steam long before the race is over, but thats just me.
