Oh yeah, you're right. Oops!
And yet they take control of the IP when they publish bigger retail games and have loads of timed exclusive indie titles on PS4.
Only fanboy devs develop without needing a moneyhat. I know a few on PS4. Good for them. They want to please the Sony Gods and help Xbone look meaningless and I love them for that. Good job

I mean....it's not like Sony has to publish the game. The independent developer could go to someone else, like what Insomniac did with Sunset Overdrive.
And about the indies. Take into consideration that many devs don't have the resources develop on multiple platforms at one time. If that's the case, who are they gonna go with first? The console with the higher or lower userbase, in order to get the biggest return on their investment? Also, Microsoft's parity clause preventing games from appearing on Xbox if they appear somewhere else first (they go with PS4 first because if they can only dev on one console, PS4 is the best option for initial release), unless they decide to go case-by-case. Also, ID@Xbox straight up rejecting games (such as Rime), period. That latter two reasons are extremely hostile to indie developers. Does it really boggle your mind that PS4 is getting preferential treatment (or getting the only treatment) from indie devs?

Cool so you're handling the excuses as to WHY they are securing exclusivity. So we agree the need does exist. Thanks.

Must not have read his post correctly. He is saying that many of those indies are choosing Sony over Microsoft for other reasons than getting a direct payment for it.
