Pretty solid tracking this month, all within about 10% of NPD. With that said numbers are sorta meh, not horrible but not great either but then again July is typically the slowest month of the year, the next few months will be interesting with all the consoles starting to get some big games and the holiday season approaching. Im hoping all three consoles have strong holiday sales.

Also no 3DS numbers probably somewhere between Wii U & Xbox One.

You do realize that the worst thing any of these companies can do is "lie" about their numbers. Maybe that could fly back in 1992 when there weren't really official ways to track sales and companies just talked about shipped numbers as sold numbers. But today, all that need to casue a PR shit storm is for MS or nintendo to just come out and say "errrr, sony is lying about their NPD numbers".

Oh, and while NA is the largest "single" market, its still just one market. The EU is the largest territory now. And so far its safe to say that whoever wins the EU, comes first or second in NA; wins the generation.

With 187k the US is the largest single market, Sony is not counting Europe as one market.

And that 6 million thing you are talking about never happened.

Comments like this make it so obvious when someone is salty about the PS4s success.

Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, and A Link Between Worlds are all possibly undertracked, as NPD's figures are almost exactly what VGC's numbers are for North America and I doubt Canada and other North American countries bought so little of those games.

Where are you looking at NA software figures on VGC?

Its just weird to me though. We're getting numbers from the 3 biggest markets yet over 700k just slips through the cracks in about 3 months?

We're not getting numbers from Europe? Hell, the only numbers we have got recently from there (Germany) showed heavy undertracking.

Europe has been a bigger market than the US for all PS consoles released so far. Now PS4 is 500k behind the US according to VGC.

We know for a fact that PS4 is undertracked by 40k in Germany alone, thanks to GFK. Rest of Europe and rest of the world being another 450k undertracked is no surprise then.
