I thought Insiderp said LoU sold like 1.5 mil day one? Am I wrong on that?

not that they are a reputable source or anything, but WW totals with digital should be a bit higher than US SW total...

I'm sure it has great digital sales and sold quite a bit more WW.

Oh and how do they prove that claim false?

Not sure if serious.

They did. Not sure what that has to do with the thread though?

The thread is about sales? Of Last of Us? Which obviously prove that claim false? Idk, connect the dots?

It hasn't proven it yet, all we know is that TLOU was the best selling game of the month.

83k for Wii U is good no ? Near from X1 in US ! It could really sell more with Europe and Japan

It's "good" in a way that earning $10,000 annual salary is good ... if you only earned $5000 the previous year.

You're still poor as hell though, lol.

This year honestly is kind of more disheartening. At least last year you could say "well there's no games!" and that was literally true, the Wii U had NSMBU, Zombi U, and Nintendo Land in Nov 2012 and then literally nothing but LEGO City until Pikmin 3 the following August.

But this year it has Mario 3D World, Zelda: WWHD, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit U, a better/cheap bundle, DKC: TF, AND Mario Kart 8 and the baseline looks like its headed back down to a mediocre 65-70k for a normal month (way below the GameCube).

It's sad to say, but I think it's pretty much over for the Wii U. It'll get its token bounce from Smash and then ride off to its deathbed as 2015 goes along. A shame because at E3 2014 I finally saw some fight from Nintendo and some legit good games like Bayonetta 2 and Splatoon are likely to sell nowhere what they deserve.

PREDICTION: In 2015 Wii U will sell always more than 100K for NPD.

Would be nice but unlikely, it can't even stay above 90k for the second month of Mario Kart 8, and that's pretty much Nintendo's biggest console IP.

Yoshi's Wooly Yarn and Kirby and Mario Maker are not going to keep sales above 100k unfortuantely.

Can't imagine Xenoblade coming in summer or Splatoon pushing consoles.

well xeno has a fanbase and splatoon is a wild card

all they need to do is have big marketing pushesh for them

(surely some rpg players would want something to hold them over for final fantasy 15)

You misread that. I didn't say Xeno will not push consoles. I said I don't believe it will be released in summer. Splatoon probably won't push. Xeno will sell quite a few consoles.

And I tought no one wanted the game.

Whoever made that claim was obviously wrong.

Which is pulled out of thin air, how did you even arrive at that figure?

Yes because I totally believe WiiU sold 0k last week ... I already laid out my thought that it's down to 15 - 17k, based on how June was. It's clear from MK there has been a natural slow decline, which will continue the longer WiiU goes without games. August NPD will tell us this.

Yes, Wii U will sell 70-75K on augost.

And after September, always more than 100K.

The point is: Wii U next year will sell more than in 2014, and if on Augost-July(two worst month) sell this number, next year on Jenuary-February ecc, will sell more than 100K, maximum for 1-2 month will sell...
