Someone calculated, based on the comment about the 80% growth over 360+PS3, that roundabout 385k X1s+PS4s were sold this month. Not gonna bother checking if his calculation is right, cause finding NPD data from back then is annoying, when you don't know where to look.

This is not even considering for the month of July the PS4 most likely sold 2:1 comparatively (more impressive than the software, imo). Again, impressive but to act like its routine, normal, or the new norm is absurd. Which is what my comment originally was pointing out. It is a slow month and the PS4 received the only boost of the month in terms of both software and hardware to go along with already beastly sales. |
Well I agree with mostly of what you said... but you answered yourself, ps4 selling half the sw of 8th gen aint the norm so that is a good reason to celebrate... we don't get all happy every month for PS4 troncing WiiU or X1. We at most celebrate the rate. Repeated things don't get much attention.

Yes because I totally believe WiiU sold 0k last week ... I already laid out my thought that it's down to 15 - 17k, based on how June was. It's clear from MK there has been a natural slow decline, which will continue the longer WiiU goes without games. August NPD will tell us this.
