Forums - Gaming - New fantastic Rime trailer : This is an indie game...Right ?

I wouldn't as far as calling Ryse AAA. Most short AAA games usually have a multiplayer component.

"AAA" means a shit ton of money invested and Ryse definitely fits the bill. Btw it does have multiplayer.

Oh it does? Didn't know that. Good to know. And good for my argument.

But Ryse looks more like only a half shit ton were invested there.

Still my argument stands. Rime will probably not release as a full price game. It looks good but the lack of resources will show at some point. And since it looks fairly pretty my bet is less content that normal AAA games.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The game does look beautiful and I'm certainly interested in it now.

For me i usually view "Indies" as games with no physical release.

I know its not accurate but its close enough for me.

I'm kinda hopeful some of the bigger "indie" titles like this will actually start getting small physical print runs. Sony can manage it for Freedom Wars (which won't sell much) and InFAMOUS: First Light (which is DLC). I'm sure they can manage it with stuff like this too, and it gets them a bit more exposure.

I thought First Light retail is only in Europe though.

Because it's short. 5 bucks says you can blast through this in less than 3h.

Well, there are a lot of AAA games as much short, even AAAA like Ryse

I thought AAA refer's to the games production values

This is the same flipping trailer from a long time ago! I thought we were getting new footage!
