This game looks more next gen than any other games before it imo. Most released games since last year look more like 360/PS3 games with better graphics. This seems to push particles and effects in a way not possible on last gen consoles. Just the speed at what many large objects move at the same time along with multiple particles and the lightning... great work Remedy!

What about Resogun, Infamous second son & first light? Those particle effects are last gen? QB looks good graphically but the art direction looks bland and gameplay mechanics doesnt do justice with cover system to his super powers unlike infamous.

Resolution is next Gen lol. Lollllllll. I infamous I agree and first light is infamous..

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

This game is so closed off it bugs me. Closing off the entrance in a corridor is something you would do in a 32 bit game. The game looks nice graphically, but I wouldn't consider it as a contender for best in show for that either.

Wasn't all that interested in it when it was first teased, primarilly because people were trying to insist that it was ingame engine and not CGI prerender.
After seeing the gamescom footage i'm even less interested in it, I played a game much like it years ago, it was called Singularity.

Looked good but I thought it would be a bit better.

I hear ya. Its a shame when games don't meet unrealistic expectations.

He's right, the Melee could've been better.  I would talk about competing games in the same genre but I don't really want to get into an argument over it.

Nit picking.

"A lot of great looking things in that trailer, but that melee ruined it."

Its the first game and it looks Phenomenal. Looks better than any action game Microsoft has ever had and its really the main exclusive i'm waiting for on the One until Halo 5 and Gears come. I was just saying they could've learned from games in the same genre when it came to getting into fights. I love the superman punch, but that punch should only be used on occasion when you run out of bullets and want to smash someone in the face. I am just saying they could've paid more attention to the competition. Uncharted has a melee attack and reversal system and if your opponent blocks you it only makes the next attack worse for them.

The game doesn't have to have the best graphics ever to impress... not me. I really like how they use the particle effects. ISS is another great example of great use of particles effect and I will give credit to that game. Just blowing particles here and there just because they can is not that impressive but when they use them like ISS or QB then ehh color me impressed.

Also being closed and linear is bad now... that's what I learned in this thread. Will be fun to see the same people praise other games on another console for being linear with ok gameplay but stellar graphics.

Gamers on other consoles like the Playstation would be hypocrites to hate on a game like this because games like Quantum Break are titles Sony like to make. They were the ones who essentially started the exclusive trend of that. I'll even speak up towards a Sony fanboy who hates on this game. This game is right up their alley and if it doesn't go to PC its well worth the pick up on the Xbone if there are other games that interest them as well. Linear is perfectly fine as well as the story is engrossing. Xbox gamers need to step back for a second mostly though because they used to hate on Sony for focusing too much on Storybased cinematic progression inspired TPS games.

Just like it'll be fun to see those that praised linear games speaking bad of other games.

Happens all the time, a direct result of people being overly attached to a platform rather than a game, trying to make out like the practice is one sided only further exemplifies the situation.

I am that kind of gamer that is not too fond of linear gameplay. Most of the time I get the feeling it's on rails but in disguise. The worst is when they are linear and don't offer multiplayer of any kind... just not my type of game. There are games though that catch my attention even if they are really linear. Like both Quantum Break and The Order. The Order's art style is one of my favorite. I just like Steampunk, Victorian, Dieselpunk settings and QB's way of manipulating time is just mind blowing.

Yep never thought different. Haters will be haters and the disease shows no bias.
