This is basically my take on this.

as a gamer, how on gods green earth can you get angry about games being released? sure it may not be a game you particularly want, but does that mean nobody else should get to play it either?

I absolutely don't care if they release one, two or six new AssCreed games this year. I already know I will buy zero of those, as the series got boring and pointless long time ago.

Gamers can't possibly complain about this. Ubisoft is allowing people who have not yet converted to continue enjoying the franchise while giving a truly next-gen game to those who have upgraded.

It's just more games for everyone. If they released it this gen as well, even more people would complain about how shitty it looks compared to Unity, and call it overpriced. 

Like I said before, Ubisoft just can't win. They try to make a franchise accessible to everyone regardless of console, and get hate for it. Sony does almost the same thing, they get praised by some of the same people who are calling Ubisoft out right now.

You're right. It was a mistake on my part, I was going off of an early article.

I don't think any AC PC port came out the same day as the console version. It's always a month or two away.

I think it's actually a smart idea.
