The issue, an one that many do not seem to want to face, is that at it's core, the X1 is simply a more undesirable console than the PS4. Price is not the only issue.
MS is still too greedy, sony sold Lego Marvel for 9 bucks and gave us a bunch of awesome free games, MS still treat us like dying famish beggars. =/

In Australia the Xbox1 is $470, $50 more then the Wii U @$420 (but that's because the Wii U is overpriced here) and $80 cheaper then the Ps4 @550.
I'm not aware of that doing much good for the Xbox1

A price cut at 299 for X1 at this point would mean 'another Sega DreamCast'; nobody on earth go into a business to lose money; so, a price cut now at 299 would mean XBone will be discontinued soon, which is not the case. What I can see is good deals/bundles for both Sony and MS in high season, that's all.

Not even at 299$ Xbone can reach or outsell the PS4, PS4 is just simply in another level this gen and that makes me very happy yay :)

This excuse for this year is utter crap. Halo MCC, Forza Horizon 2, SSO,TF,Fantasia,KSR and Dance Central on X1. PS4 Infamous, DC, LBP3 and TLOU remaster. MS screwed it up back in 2013 and the fact that they have still sold more than 360 in the same timeframe at a more expensive price is surprising. The 1080p thing seems to be going by the wayside as companies start pushing parity across the platforms.
Has the Xbox One had an official price cut yet? Does making a new Kinect less sku count as a price cut?
