I can see it doing 1.5m in Japan, 1m in the Americas and 500k in Europe and others. The only place where there is any kind of hype for SSB on the 3DS is really in Japan. Most people here only care about the console version of the game. I would love to be wrong though!
Predictions for LT console sales:
PS4: 120M
XB1: 70M
WiiU: 14M
3DS: 60M

Yeap you are wrong :P (at least this time)!
(This doesn't factor into my argument fully, just making a point) Im going to be wayyy more into the WiiU game, but im buying 2 3DS versions at launch for me and my brother. Then 1 later for my sister. The thing to remember for the 3ds version is that SSB is a huge multiplayer game. Everybody will need their own copies to play (think pokemon for example).
In japan right now, pre orders are huge for SSB for 3DS. The game is already guaranteed imo to sell at least 500k FW. It should actually do anywhere between 700k-1mil FW, so lifetime will be 2mil no doubt there :)
US will easily sell more than 1mil as well. Put it like this, do you think Luigi's Mansion 2 is bigger than SSB for 3DS? If not That game sold over 3.75mil and counting. SSB for 3DS will be over 5mil lifetime....... We'll see soon enough :0

We'll see, I hope I'm wrong. I see SSB for the 3ds being a huge success in Japan but there just doesn't seem to be much hype around SSB for the 3DS in the Western markets. I mean, this is the first SSB released on a handheld, so we have no idea how the Western market will react to that kind of product. We know that it's going to do very well in Japan because it combines 2 extremely popular things in Japan (SSB and Handhelds), but here, I'm not so sure.

One of the greatest system sellers of all time. And its stayed so strong over the years, pretty amazing.
Pokemon will win, but not by a landslide ( the 3rd gen wasn't that popular compared to 1st and 2nd generations remember)!
