In the end of the 3DS's like span which game do you think will have more copies sold?

I say Smash, looks like it has alot more hype built around it but both will pass 10m in the end imo

Easily Pokemon... OR/AS should sell over 7mil, which is much higher than Smash will sell.

tough question.... Both will be front loaded and sell most of its units within the first year or two (just judging how its been for other games in the series) Smash Bros will have a month head start to have the advantage.. I think it could outsell Pokemon.. but lets look.. A lot of the 3DS Mario hits sold most of their units in the first year or two. That's very unusual because Mario games usually have great legs... Pokemon X and Y is having better legs than I expected. That's also unexpected because Pokemon games usually don't have amazing legs. Its going to be a hell of horse race but I think Smash Bros 3DS will sell more when all is said and done

Well, not to say anything bad for OR/AS but i remember lots of predictions of 10-11mil which isnt guaranteed for a number of factors.

Pokemon OR/AS will most likely outsell SSB for 3DS, but that doesn't mean its set in stone. Pokemon OR/AS will sell anywhere between 7mil-10mil lifetime. SSB will sell no less imo than 5mil on 3DS and we haven't seen wat a SSB can do on a HH. This game has potential to sell 7mil, 8mil, maybe even 10mil lifetime.

Pokemon no doubt

Reguarding legs/front loaded i disagree.

Start off with SSB. Aside from NSMB+MK SSB has one of the best legs in the industry. SSBM kept on selling for years to reach that 7mil+. As for Brawl it sold almost 8mil year 1 with over 1mil the following year and for years 3-6 sold more than half a million each. Those are insane legs. Selling 500k+ for 6 years in a row is crazy, even this year it'll sell 300k+.

As for pokemon situation, it doesn't have the legs like other Great Nintendo games but its there. They are just cut short due to pokemon being one of the only franchise (for Nintendo) that has mostly Annual Releases. But despite that, It still usually goes on to sell alot for at least 3 years. I mean Pokemon is like the only franchise where i never see the game go under $20 before its all said and done :) It goes up in price after 3-4 years on the market!

Pokemon for sure. I can't see smash doing more then 3m on 3DS unfortunetly.

Wat your crazy O.o SSB for 3DS in japan alone will be close to that number, at least 2mil lifetime!
