Forums - Gaming - Are the PS4 versions of multiplats really better??

It's no different than last gen, a lot of people bought the xbox 360 because they were told that multiplatform games looks better on that console even though it was a minor difference in resolution and frame .

It is near the end of the end....

Well some games (tomb raider, child of light) have double the framerate on PS4. If you don't worry about achievements/playing with certain friends then why would you knowingly buy a technically inferior game for the same price?

Still belive its best to have both consoles so that you do at least have a choice.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

It does not really matter to the average gamer if they are better or not. The idea is pretty much spread out that ps4 has the better version of 3rd party games. The average gamer does not got to sites Digital Foundry, they just hear people saying ps4 has better looking games and that seals the deal. And even if they cared they will see 1080p vs 900p and say yes it is better.

Yes and you can throw sheep insults all you want, the answer is yes for the most part.

As MS say #DealWithIt

I always found the resolution thing to be funny.  Show me someone who can stand at an optimal viewing distance from a TV and tell me how many lines are on that screen with consistent accuracy, and I might actually take the resolutions arguments seriously.

No one in the right mind will buy a game which is inferior to the same game on a different console no matter how small the difference. Anyways with these consoles there is no difference except power ( and exclusives ) unlike previous gens where even though multiplats looked worse on the ps3 it still had free online play and Bluray.

I would buy the "inferior" (900p instead of 1080p example) version of the game if it were on the console where all of my friends bought it.  Not everyone has every console, and not everything is about framerate or resolution.  Those two items generally being the disparities this gen.

how many pixels does your TV have and why did you waste your money on a 1080p tv when you can't see the difference?
