Forums - Sales - Shovel Knight Sales! 180k Sold First Month: 3DS 33% / WiiU 27%

Not bad actually. Good ratio and hopefully it will get better when it launches in Europe

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

DS would be higher if they could pull there fingers out and release it in Europe.

What's really impressive that its only US 3DS and Wii U sales (since its still being localized to Europe).

Is it US only? Cuz if it is, on the eShop (US) we can see wats above it and its guaranteed to be Over 45k!

Good idea! Can someone in the US confirm what's above/below Shovel Knight in the eshop charts?

Nintendo really is the home of platformers! two thirds of total sales on a Nintendo system? Not bad at all! But damnit, hurry up and release it in EU already!! I wants it!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Glad to see this game selling so good. Nintendo platforms actually surprised me, I thought PC would dominate.

Good numbers on Nintendo platforms.

I think PC users are waiting until it's $5 or less, but it won't happen any time soon. They said that new contents will be added instead of price cuts.

I've done some thinking over these numbers for the past 30 seconds....

On the one hand these are really great numbers for Nintendo as it shows that 3rd parties can be very successful on their systems, but on the other hand it also goes to show the taste of Nintendo gamers and why Nintendo rarely get any major support from 3rd parties. Nintendo gamers only want Nintendo like games. No wonder Ubisoft/Activion/EA releases any games for Wii U/3DS

Take the good with the bad I guess

This is what the future video game industry looks like, people. When an indie studio can make a profit from 100k sales while a AAA 3rd party developer can't even make a profit from 4 million - this shows us precisely why Nintendo doesn't care about AAA 3rd party developers and why both Sony and Nintendo are more focused on indie titles.

Wow great sales actually. Wii U has high software sales but low hardware for now...

i cannot wait to have it in europe

Switch!!!
