Read well all the comments please it was all previously explained very well, but I guess i have no trouble explaining it again, but slower so no one askes again.

1) The x1 only has a good launch, aside  from that its been selling very poorly every month.

2) All previous gen consoles did not have such masive launches like this 3 had. Even the wii u had a great launch, but look where it is now. Its selling so little that ps4 beat it in a few months, this is why we canot look alone at how great the launch was.

3) the ps3 sold well even at a $600 pricetag, well at least it sold better every month than the x1 has. So even with that great launch the ps3 just now outsolded it so its another singh that the ps3 sold better every month. Now its going to climb way higher than it.

4) After the ps3 first pricecut it sold better and increased its baseline. So one thing and the ps3 sold better wich happend later in the life cycle. The x1 has had a bundleling of the most overhyped game + a year of live - $50. After that failed, they removed kicknect. After that failed they offered $75 creddict for people who had 360 to upgrade and it failed also. None of this things incresaed the baseling, it did get a small boost that dint last long, but thats not good enough. And thouse 3 things MS has done to try and inprove sales happened much earlier in the life cycle that sony took to do just the first pricecut.

Why am I comparing it to the ps3? well because the last strand of hope to some people is that since the ps3 started so bad and made a comeback, the x1 has a chance too. I am just stating that the x1 is at a worse position than the ps3 was so it will be a lot harder to make a comback. What people seem to forget when making this argument is that the ps3 had many advantages while the only bad thing was it was overpriced and launched a year later, It still had bluray player, stronger first party team, stronger hard ware and it just came from dominating 2 gens straight. This time around, the only 4 advantages 360 had wich where cheaper price, better online, better multyplats and a year head start where all lost and now they have zero aces in their hole to use as an advantage over the competition.

So yea, to answer your questiong, they are hell of a lot better and will sell a lot more than the x1 from now on and till the end and there is nothing MS can do to change that.

Lol yahh it hurt ps brand so much.  So much that the new ps console set all time records lol.

Just wait another month or two.  Wiiu out sales it a few more times.  Many will ask if it can pass og box or not.

Competition.  Thats why.  Even dc was that much.  X1 is not relevent sales wise or market importance wise.  And sony sure seems to be enjoying stomping all over them.

PS3 set records too, I think it was record losses of money and userbase which Xbox gained.

The only platform that won't pass OG Xbox is Vita.

That is what happens when a third contender comes in with its A game on. The Xbox 360 ( other than the issues wth the RROD) is one of the best gaming machines ever. Even I will admit that. It was a given The Xbox will be stealing a chunk of Sony's fanbase with that machine. Especially those in the US and those who have played Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 Multiplayer.

I've always kind of looked at Microsoft as the 'Median' when it comes to the three consoles; it hasn't had the same massive, dominating global success that Nintendo or Sony had, but on the flip side it hasn't made any massive, money-gaping mistakes, ala Wii U or PS3. Basically, the Xbox has done consistently between 'So-So' and 'Pretty Well' and that's fine. It's a trend that will probably going to continue this generation, as the Xbox One will no doubt eventually recoup its investment, even looks primed to nab second place, but will probably find first place out of reach.

In that sense, I do agree that the Xbox One is doing well, and will continue to do well. It's the 'Extremely' that causes a bit of a spittake, though to be fair it makes more sense when it's 'The Xbox One Is Doing Extremely Well Considering...' While I think that the Xbox One is back on course TO DO extremely well, and greatly improved its chances, announcing it's already occured just seems really premature, especially given the dust hasn't quite settled on their last maneuver.

Actually record holder for loses is the xbox brand.  Its always been a loss.

By the way the thread is about x1, but I guess u cant argue facts no matter how u feel.

As I mentioned, the PS2 and PSP were stil profiting while the PS3 was causing massive losses. So its difficult to measure exactly how much of a financial disaster the PS3 was.

Fact is the X1 doing well. I'm reluctant to say its doing "extremely well" like the OP implies. But its also not the irrelevant platform you seem to believe.

Here's a question, in your opinion how many units does X1 have to sell just to be a relevant platform? I'll assume more than Vita and OG Xbox.
