Forums - Nintendo - How in the WORLD! Did Nintendo think they did not have to advertise the retail version of Wii Sports Club for Wii U?

They probably spent their marketing budget on Wii Fit U. LMAO

Around the Network

I think Nintendo doesn't give much to NoA and NoE to advertise because they think they can put as much as they do in Japan and reach the same amount of consumers. Our countries are spread out much more and have a lot more networks to spread that advertisement money around with. I think NoA has done well with what they are given but it just isn't enough. I have yet to see any commercials for the WiiU except for online.

Who cares? If they wanted this to succeed they would have given us an actual sequel by now and not an old game chopped into pieces.

...... If you claim Nintendo Land as a true successor game, I will punch you.

Wii Fit U and Mario & Sonic Sochii and Wii Party U (only has decent numbers because it's force bundled with every Wii U in Japan basically) are full blown sequels with new mini-games. No one cared about those.

No one's going to pay even $30 for this type of experience anymore ... the mini-game craze is over, just like the music/instrument fad died out a few years prior (Guitar Hero, Rock Band, DJ Hero, etc.).

After Wii Sports + Resort + the Mario/Sonic Olympic games, how many sports are even left that aren't covered and would actually work well with the Wiimote or Wii U tablet?

It's almost baffling how little people understand about the Wii Sports phenomenon, and you're a shining example.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Is it even out yet? Or is it still coming soon?

I have not heard or seen anything locally, although I dont really care about it.

Some people don't have enough non gaming friends, it shows in their understanding on why some things are popular.  I would say Nintendo's failure aside from adversting with Wii Sports Club and Wii Fit U seems to be they really didn't try to change too much on the original and  implement bits of the Wii U hardware which don't mesh as well with GamePad.

But yeah, it sucks how many games Nintendo drops out into the market witout any push besides some mentions in their own Nintendo Direct.
