A lot of people who do not have a Playstation product seem to be genuinely interested in TLOU. Seems like the remaster was well worth the effort.

Why do people get upset and feel it necessary to air their views when they don't own a PS4?
Serious question.
The PS5 Exists.

ND must find it quite flattering :p Near universal praise from your players is one thing, but this much attention from other player bases too? Now you know you've created a master piece

Mayby u never go into WiiU/One Treads.. but i garantee you it's the same.. Games like MK8 or Titanfall got a lot of "hate" from people not even having the console..
By the way i saw tlou on ps3.. and it was (not my type of game) pretty impressing.. mayby even a "master piece" :)

Every good/successful game gets hate. It's more the length of time TLOU has managed to keep the hate train running that's impressive
No game has been able to get other player bases this riled up since Super Mario Galaxy and Uncharted 2 (both of which would also qualify as "masterpieces" in my mind :p).

I've noticed you've underlined and added comments to what I said. I'll address those and then I'll reply to the rest.
1) The key phrase you said was, "And it kept to that prediction." The phrase insinuates that TLoU:RE sold as well as you predicted it would. It wouldn't make much sense for you to talk about a prediction you had for the PS3 version if a) I've never heard of this prediction before speaking with you. b) You've added no further context. This is why I made the distinction between "will sell" and "would sell". There is a difference. 2) That is true. I never said the PS4 (keyword) "WAS" chalked full of remasters. You harp on me about my reading comprehension, but you clearly have trouble with what I'm telling you. Anyway, once again, I said, "Let's say TLoU sold well. Other companies will follow suit and then the PS4 _WILL_ be chalked full of remasters". See what I did there? I paraphrased it for you so you could understand. If English is not your first language, I certainly can understand. However, "will" and "was" have two different meanings. 3) It's certainly not unfounded. 5 minutes on N4G will prove this to be true. Anecdotal it may be, but unfounded? It definitely is not. The rest is simply my opinion - and it's my opinion versus yours. If you recall, you did say the typical PS4 owner knows there are exclusives coming. However, that would be your opinion, because you have no proof on what the "typical PS4" owner knows. This is just an assumption you created that you and I can both agree upon. Nothing wrong with that. 4) I haven't dissed a single indie. You're reading too far into what I'm saying. I told you that Sony fans appear to be upset with the influx of indies on their system because they were promised the next generation of graphics with 1080p and 60fps. This is what I said. a) Me either. Hey, that makes the two of us. b) I don't care about Sony either, but I understand that competition needs to exist for the market to be fair to the consumer. c) The system is doing very well. Unfortunately, software on the system is not. The PS4's attachment rates are very very low. It's highest selling game is COD at a little less than 2 and a half million sold. d) Err... The Xbone has more exclusives than the PS4 right now, and has more on the way... But you knew this, right? e) No. I'm not interested in getting into this debate (again). f) I never debated this. g) No one said the PS4 was doing badly (outside of software sales). Also, I haven't defended a single piece of plastic while talking to you. |
D) name them...

There's no need to name them. There's proof.

This proves that the X1 has more exclusives on the way...how exactly?

You have no idea what you're talking about since 93% of people here have played Halo 4's campaign. Thats a vast majority of people. http://www.trueachievements.com/Halo-4/achievements.htm?gamerid=436270 The primary focus is the single player. The multiplayer is what gives the game replay value. |
I didn't mean more people that buy Halo 4 only play the online instead of both the single player and multiplayer. I meant that if you bought TLOU you WILL play the single player game. Halo and the other games, there are people that will be skipping through the single player to play the multiplayer.
You stated yourself with proof that 93% played the single player while 7% went to multiplayer first. I don't think there are many people going straight for TLOU's multiplayer without playing the campaign first.
