I think ps4 is going to win back na this gen, but actually xbox still has a chance. Destiny sales will tell us a lot about the future of next gen consoles in na.

Yes its biased. You cannot exclude anything, 1 only one exception.
All Zelda vs All Halo obviously favors Zelda. Its a matter of 100 something games vs 35 something games.
If you want a fairer comparison, then you can limit the Zelda Games from the time of the release of the First Halo release. It will definetly have Halo above zelda.
However, it still will be closer to Zelda than it is to Mario. If I could use my biggest rodent example once again.
Halo is obviously the biggest rodent (Xbox Game)
Bigger than Zelda which is a mammal (Cat)
But its not very close to Mario the biggest mammal, the Whale (Nintendo Game
So its closer to Zelda, than Mario.
Even if it is the "biggest"

Say what you will about Halo, but it's still a massive system seller and doesn't have to be the #1 shooter to make an impact. |
What are you talking about ? sale have not been growing, they get bumped when MS throws everything they can at a given month then fall like a rock. What exactly is growing.
The debate is not if it will make an impact, its if i can be big enough.

I'm not talking about North America only I'm talking about worldwide, in NA Halo 5 will outsell UC4 (though I think that UC4 should see a rise in NA sales compared to UC3), I have no doubt about that. Overall worldwide, going by vgchartz data, Uncharted 3 is well on its way to outsell Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
Should easily happen this year. |
This thread is about sales in North America.. (USA). So that is why my point was about NA sales..

At the moment PS4 is taking the lead sure, but the gap isn't that wide. I wouldn't doubt an north american upswing of Xbox One once those exclusives are relased. Rest of the world is a different story though. Europe imo has long sailed. |
PS4 has near doubled X1 sales in NA 3 out of the first 6 months of 2014, that quite a wide gap. Dont let the big launch numbers skew how bad its really doing right now.

They are different, but you have to think what makes them similar. Spoiler: They are compared for their system selling power to the console they are on. |
Not sure how they can compare as system sellers. Halo blows away Zelda in that respect.
Their comparison is just bad.
It is near the end of the end....
WELP Xbox needs catching up to do.
We know the winner of the gen -PS4 (unless it slows down a lot for some reason.)
Second place? Wii U vs X1 . 2015 could let us see the winner for that title. With new baseline's coming up ect ect.

May was (presumably) down because of the imminent price cut, and June was a 5 week month for NPD. Weekly average was only slightly better than April
