How about comparing X360 halo to Wii Zelda ;)  Hey you can even throw in DS Zelda

Spoiler Alert: Halo 41m, Zelda 18m

Invalid, arbitary exculsions based on biases.

Never said 360, DS, or Wii, I said all, so if you exclude any, then its invalid and you're changing goalposts to fit your agenda.

Yeah... as of right now. I wouldn't be too surprised if Xbox One was able to overtake PS4 in the USA again. Especially with titles like Halo 5 etc.

Yahh cause PS has nothing to counter that.  There is No Uncharted TLUS GOW GT etc, Nope they dont exists no way.

Those games do exist, I wanted to tackle a different point though. Xbox sure is healthy Brand in the USA and with games like Halo 5 and the Master Chief collection (which are very much targeted towards the NA market) they might be able to gain some more land again. No need to be so harsh.

Selling half in regular months and failing to best PS4 even with massive bunldes hype marketing new skus etc shows how unhealthy the brand is.  Nor is Halo what it once was.  There are bigger shooters around, its long gone from the days it was the only big dog in fps land.

Halo isn't sufficient enough to help the Xbox One retake the lead in the US. Even the largest exclusive franchise for the Xbox brand can only temporary close the gap or shrink the weekly deficit. Looking back at the 7th gen, the X1 really needs more than just Halo, Forza, and Gears. It needs several games like Quantum Break in terms of bringing something different to the table.

Really its biased?   Someone who is comparing 30 years of zelda to 10 years of halo calls me biased xD xD xD Really it sounds like you have an agenda more than anybody else here :D

Tell youu what, instead of having this back and forth with you where tou take decades of games and try and pass it off as current, ill just make a bet with you

Im willing to bet that the Masterchief Collection outsells Windwaker HD

And Im willing to bet Halo 5 outsells Zelda U

What does that have to do with anything I've said. As a series, they have sold the same in America. Fact.

Halo sells more on average, so it will obviously out sell both.

However, Halo is not Mario tier. End of Story.

Best selling zelda sold less then 8 millions best selling halo sold 13 millions

And best selling Mario sold 34.5 million.

Is 11.9 million(What the best selling Halo actually sold) closer to 7.6 million or 34.5 million?

Halo is the biggest Microsoft first party and Mario is the biggest nintendo first party so Halo is the Microsoft mario not Zelda.

Xbox's Biggest First Party is behind Nintendo's Zelda, so its not even close to Mario. Its like comparing the biggest rodent to the biggest mammal.

Lifetime IP sales is hardly relevant. Gen 7 sales is a better indicator.

Not saying that UC4 is going to outsell Halo 5, but I think there is a pretty significant growth potential in store for UC4. The simple fact that ND has made TLOU, a game that when all is said and done could possibly sell 10 million or more units, should give UC4 a real boost in exposure, cause even if ND has always been a studio that was regarded very highly among PS fans, it was still that game that gave them a name that everyone in gaming has heard about, even more than UC2 did before that. Combine that with the game being an exclusive to basically the "worlds favourite console" and it's a guaranteed hit already, I personally expect the game to at least do 7 million.

And Halo could possibly shrink, I don't know that much about it, but I've heard that a lot of people weren't so happy with Halo 4, so who knows. I wouldn't say it's certain that UC4 will outsell Halo 5, but it's definitely not out of the cards.

People always bring up Uncharted..    Uncharted 3 sold LESS then Uncharted 2..  The series is going down in North America.. not up..  Yes.. Halo is going down also.. but Halo 4 outsold Uncharted 3 by 2.5 times in North America.     With around 30 million PS3 consoles Uncharted (2-3) only each sell 2-3 million in North America..   Halo (3-4) each sold 6-7 million in North America..

It would have to be one MAJOR shift in North America for Uncharted 4 sales to come anywhere NEAR Halo 5..    But you never know..

I'm not talking about North America only I'm talking about worldwide, in NA Halo 5 will outsell UC4 (though I think that UC4 should see a rise in NA sales compared to UC3), I have no doubt about that.

Overall worldwide, going by vgchartz data, Uncharted 3 is well on its way to outsell Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 2

2014 67,113 -77.5% 6,398,766

Uncharted 3

2014 135,180 -81.1% 6,368,204

Should easily happen this year.

Look. The Xbox One has been growing since launch. It's price cut is barely 2 months old. We haven't even mad eit to the first holiday period with the two. Say what you will about Halo, but it's still a massive system seller and doesn't have to be  the #1 shooter to make an impact.

They are different, but you have to think what makes them similar.

Spoiler: They are compared for their system selling power to the console they are on.

I wouldn't underestimate the impact of Xbox's few big hitters. Pretty sure Halo and Gears won't leave without quite an impact. At the moment PS4 is taking the lead sure, but the gap isn't that wide. I wouldn't doubt an north american upswing of Xbox One once those exclusives are relased. Rest of the world is a different story though. Europe imo has long sailed.
