I still haven't finished that one. I stoppped because it kept showing different stories which got kind of boring.

It's all gonna be revealed at the end of the first and start of the next season. That's what's makes it so juicy.

You are trying to wrap your head around it and then it hits you hard.

How juicy is it?

extremely juicy.

BTW here is my favorite Higurashi AMV

I think I saw this one before I actually watched the series. One might say it's full of spoilers but if you don't know the story it's really not.

Strong language and graphic images so I'm just gonna link it and not embed.

Definitely going to watch the remake but I don't think I need the prequel for it. I'm just not invested enough in the lore. Maybe if the remake blows me away but I don't see that coming.

Why not just watch Fate/zero first? It works very well as a stand-alone and doesn't feel like an afterthought. If stay night didn't exist, I would really feel like I was missing much after Fate/zero. Sure, some future plot lines are set up, but it works very well as its own thing. While Fate/zero wasn't exactly my favorite show, it was still certainly worth a watch, and if you are planning on watch Fate/stay night, why not just watch Fate/zero first (or instead)?

wow that was good, and coincidentally the reason why i found out about Higurashi (about 7 years ago) was also because of an AMV, (granted not as good as the one you linked but the song somehow fitted the anime very well,) i dont know german so i cant tell if the lyrics fit the video in any sort of way... but still the genre of music was very fitting

heres the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRNEt6qnXuY

ALSO MYSTRO-SAMA DONT watch any of this videos, avoid spoilers as hard as you can, (if not you will ruin half of the fun of this show)

Because I don't really care for it. Watching a show during a season is easy. After all it's just one episode more a week. Watching a show seperate takes more effort by me and as I said I'm not invested enough in the series as I would go the extra mile. If I find time to watch an extra anime I have several others lined up with way higher priority.

The second season of Chihayafuru for example.

well if the remake is as good as the prequel then it should blow you away.

and no you dont have to watch the prequel, i just thought that you werent going to watch the remake, so i was suggesting that you should watch the prequel and judge if the series is worth watching.

Watched it through a proxy.

It's ok but the lyrics don't match. It's about cannibalism which might be the only atrocity that's not featured in Higurashi^^
