Yes, but this is a much better trade off, as a great majority of people have internet access. That's why a free month of PS+ would be very welcome.

But, this trend will only increase, with The Division, all those F2P games, even NBA 2K forces you to be always online.

If you can find a cheap wifi option (or a clueless neighbor :)) always online should not pose that much of a detriment.

This game should sell well. But IF the rumours about 500 mln budget are correct, it needs to sell more then 16 mln copies just to get even (roughly, I was counting 30USD per copy goes to publisher).
Which is a feat by itself...

Well, I definitely don't like the dudebros! The gameplay and the setting are just........ there! There's nothing interesting about them imo..

Not a very detailed explanation but it's popular to not like COD on forums so... Well, whatever. But don't believe there won't be dudebros on Destiny ;)

Btw, did you play Halo? If you like Destiny, you should definitely play Halo, it's really worth it.

I think that Activision expects to sell less than 16, and make up the difference with DLCs.

Even with 8-10m sold, they would break even within 12-18 months. Everything later would be pure profit, with an eventual part 2 costing way less and making much more.

Activision has money to invest and wait it out. This game/franchise will be very profitable...

I dislike the dudebros and the lack of innovation. Mario catches a lot of flak for releasing the same thing, but it refines the platforming formula and adds something game changing with almost every major release. CoD added a doge buddy.

Instead will happen.
