This was long overdue so here goes.
Hi there everyone.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 37 year old gamer, and I have been playing games since the 80's with my first system being the Coleco Vision.
Growing up I primarily played on Sega systems, and Nintendo next. I moved over to the Playstation when I first saw Resident Evil, and loved every minute of it. Rejoiced when the Dreamcast dropped, and sobbed when it prematurley died. After that I stuck to Sony systems, did not own the original Xbox but I did break down, and bought a 360 last gen because of Crackdown, coupled with the price of the PS3, (it was just too high for me). I eventually bought the PS3 after the price dropped but used it more for watching movies, and playing exclusives (Uncharted is my favorite series right now). I kept the 360 as my primary system, and surprisingly never experienced the RROD. I currently own a X1. I am one of the few people that like the Kinect, I like it for the p90x intergration, and voice controls. it is very slick. My kids enjoy playing the dance games. I will eventually own a PS4, most likely when Uncharted drops. I bought a Vita just for that game, but as far as handhelds I stick to the 3DS.
As for some personal info I am Mexican, and Korean. Spent most of my life in Hawaii, grew up as an Army brat, and eventually joined the Air Force after living in Korea for 4 years. Seperated from the Air Force after 11 years (4 in the Middle East). I am currently attending school for a degree in Business management.
This is the second site I joined , the first being IGN. I never visited these sites until this current gen of systems. I have to admit I was blown away with how nasty people can be to one another in defending their system of choice. I never really felt that way, I always wanted to own all the systems, but the only way that happened after the Genesis, was for me to get a job, and buy them myself.
I really enjoy this site, and I hope that I can contribute to it in a positive manner. truth be told even thoug i have played games my whole life, I consider myself a casual gamer. I used to just read gamer mags for info, and updates.
