LOL your words are cpra. LOL at people saying ps4 will do 160K or less ina  5 week month.  Could not predict the sun coming up half of you.

We don´t know if it sold more or less than 200k and we won´t probably know this month either.

But I feel you, you can discredit the "insiders" all you want but it really always can go both ways. They could be as right as you think they could be wrong.

Two things though, anytime MS doesn't talk about numbers in the NPD response, then it means they lost. Or when they use some spin like "xbox family" and even that they don't do anymore. And secondly, in all honesty.... if the NPD, or the insiders had XB1 topping the charts.... will you be saying any of this? 


I don´t think Nintendo released their official numbers last May. Nor the 30k for May last year.

And I thought that the NPD group only worked by "total revenue" when they says the market grew 95% YOY. I didn´t read about 700k units total, I supose this was another strapolation with the 95% growth.

They come from the most reliable neogaf insider.  This person has been sharing NPD data for years.  But its never just straight numbers unless from one of the big 3.  Its basically hints.  like its half a certain month, or double some other, this much better then something else,  at which point its left to gaf to do all the math and figure everything out.  although he will make sure everyone is on mark and getting things right.  His leaks also stand up to when the big 3 mention NPD results.    The insider also makes fun of VGC numbers lol

df is a doubter, hes been doubting NPD results for a while and has been fighting about it.  i believe he said, and i quote.. "I belive when they are disclaimed by official sources..."    everyone else though widely accepts them as being right


Ahhhhhh okay now I get you lol. Well shoot then even if "unofficial" that indeed sounds like a pretty reliable source.

I actually wasn't using details from any month in particular. Just trying to paint a picture of how the whole nmber crunching works. It doesn't matter though, you can just wait for yearly/quaterly fiscal reports from the companies.

they may come from gaf insiders, but for years theyve been backed up with corporate statements.  Its interesting that now that the ps4 is winning, the same insider who shared years of 360 data, is now wrong.

Yeah that is what it is starting to look like. Nothing against Dark but now that I think about it he has been saying well why hasn't Sony said they did this and that if true for a few months now. I had just totally forogt....

Why are people saying June is a 5 week month? June 1 to 28 is 4 full weeks, and then add on June 29-30. It's 4 full weeks plus 2 days, not 5 weeks.
