They come from the most reliable neogaf insider.  This person has been sharing NPD data for years.  But its never just straight numbers unless from one of the big 3.  Its basically hints.  like its half a certain month, or double some other, this much better then something else,  at which point its left to gaf to do all the math and figure everything out.  although he will make sure everyone is on mark and getting things right.  His leaks also stand up to when the big 3 mention NPD results.    The insider also makes fun of VGC numbers lol

df is a doubter, hes been doubting NPD results for a while and has been fighting about it.  i believe he said, and i quote.. "I belive when they are disclaimed by official sources..."    everyone else though widely accepts them as being right

Ahhhhhh okay now I get you lol. Well shoot then even if "unofficial" that indeed sounds like a pretty reliable source.
