May is a 4 week month, june is a five week month. So if the PS4 sells within 10% of mays weekly sales, then it will at least do around 240k in june. Its not selling better, just selling the same for a longer period. 5 weeks as opposed to 4.

wii u isnt selling only 14k a month in america thats bs at lowest it should be 75k -_-

There is nothing wrong with the neogaf numbers. Unless you just want to be stubborn, the NeoGaf numbers are theoretically accurate. Its not like they just pull the numbers outta their collective asses. They always base them off at least one confirmed number and some other confirmed metric to get their approximations. Classic mathmatical substitution.

You are right, yes, they do make a reseanable effort to get the numbers close to the reality.

But in the last few months there was so much noise and to little signal for they to work on. And again, most of their assumption are based on annonimous insiders with little to account for whether they are right or wrong. And they are contaminating month after month.

He was saying that since pachter says PS4 will win, XBO will because Pachter is always wrong.

they may come from gaf insiders, but for years theyve been backed up with corporate statements.  Its interesting that now that the ps4 is winning, the same insider who shared years of 360 data, is now wrong.

Chicken and eggs... 

In praticaly 3 years I follow NeoGaf I´ve never seen a "insider" leak the exactaly correct number befor any major companie reveal in their statements. 

But if Thuway was correct in the previous NPD releases, the insiders already have the numbers on their hands. And we all know how well how reliable his insides have been. Unfortunaly the only way of knowing if they are corect is if any companie reveal the total sales.

Again, they strapolate the numbers based on previous years (some time they are also strapolated) and on small bits some journalists have to share.
