Forums - Nintendo - Could Nintendo handle Smash any better leading up to its release?

Yes I know that wired online is the best but the fact that they had to go out of their way and actually recommend it on a broadcast makes me wonder. How stable will this game be online? That's the problem. How  often do you see a company that has wireless things go out and tell you "oh, you might want to plug this in instead of wireless"? So far for me, Nintendo is now the first.

Not trying to sound rude, but that's the dumbest logic ever. How often do you play online fighter/fps games online without a wired connect? There you go.

so my logic is stupid because I am worried about how the online performance will be because this is the only company that I have ever seen that offers wireless connections and then recommends you not to use them but something else? Yeah, I know hickups can happen but for them to recommend not using it is a bit... odd.

They recomment not using wireless because you shouldn't be using wireless for the type of game that can  come down to one frame exchanges. This is the only game Nintendo has released for the Wii U with such online play.

It's odd that I am the only one that questions this here because this would make me wonder, how cheap/how good is the wireless card if it cannot handle the online for smash well? And why is this issue not on the 3DS? I got a $30 wireless card in my computer and it works with no issues at all.

Will there be another character announced from outside the Nintendo?

I originally hated the suggestion, but a Bayonetta announcement would be pretty huge. She has fighting moves and animations already, she has a Wii U exclusive coming out, with Nintendo crossovers in the form of costumes, and if they needed to they could tone her sexuality down to Zero Suit levels or use the Mecha-netta.

I'm fairly certain a Bayonetta reveal would generate buzz for her upcoming game/bundle, even if it were a troll like Chrom or an assist trophy in someone else's reveal.

I think you could just make Bayonetta an alternate costume for Samus...heck...you could make Boyonetta an alternate constume for Samus, Peach, and Link.

If you think that, I'm guessing you're the lagger that people who don't half-a*s it always encounter in online modes.

That or you're just trolling. In which case, please just stop and leave. We're trying to talk about something here.

Lol, calling me a troll because I am wary about what Nintendo said about the Wii U version in their Smash bros direct...

Here is a link incase you don't remember:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xUWnQu2Grs&feature=player_detailpage#t=496

the link should take you a few seconds before he mentions it, if it is not there, then go to about 8:25.

Also, my internet is probably just as good if not better than yours so my internet is not the problem.

Then you come at me with the "We're trying to talk about something here". Well, you're obviously blind because this topic is how to deal with smash bros better which lets see.... you replied to me being concerned about the internet and lets see... yeah they could give more info/ provide something more stable to make the handling of the release better. As well as you replied to the topic about me saying how we could get more info on the Wii U version instead of how the Wii U version lacks X compared to the 3DS version. Sorry.. but my posts seem to be on topic here.

remake the character models they look sub par IMO.

Well, at native 1080p/60fps, something's gotta give. Besides, you won't notice when playing the game.

On a side note - I firmly believe they'll reveal Rayman an a playable character. Why else would they have a trophy for such a well-known 3rd party character, when there's no link to the Rayman franchise whatsoever in the game?

Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Pacman, Rayman. Excellent! It only makes sense, and he fits the game/roster very well.

Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee   3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

Nothing like beating the crap out of Ubisoft's mascot character to vent frustration for their retarded handling of games on the Wii U.

I am not talking about polycount I am talking about the design. Its also not every character I have a problem with. Its also not the whole characters its more their faces. Fire Emblem characters look like shit Zero Suit Samus looks like shit. Humans  just look like they had plastic surgery gone wrong (no emotion just mouths moving arbitrarily) And even if nobody will notice while playing I know it looks like shit and I am actually used to alot of useless detail in my NIntendo games.

It literally screams "look at me I am a character from a PS2 game"

Mario Sonic  Megaman etc look excellent but seriously Team Ninja is working on this why cant they get the human faces right?
