I'm shocked to even see it sell considering Nintendo abandoned it years ago.

Wii mini is a pathetic desperate attempt at cashing on its popularity and the worst transitional console ever to the next gen. It doesn't count.

probably last production batch at some point in November and that will be it in the form that we know.... not sure about the Chinese market but I can see Nintendo selling Wii in poor country like Sony does...

But they will release a few more Nintendo Wii Selects titles including - Zelda SS - Metroid other M, Kirby Return to dreamland (or whatever was called) and the rpg trilogy!

I expect it will be the final year for Wii.

On a similar note I give PS3 one more year and maybe 360 too.

Well the online is gone anyway now... So why pay more money on the wii when you can get a wii mini?

This is pretty much the last holiday for Wii imo. I even was kinda surprised to still see it selling in 2013.

It might sell a good hundred thousand but not more than that. I'm surprised that the Wii U is actually holding its own now.

I have only seen stores selling the Mini model. I'm sure the thing is really cheap to manufacture, it won't be discontinued this year. Summer 2015 maybe, no earlier.

But can the WiiU play Gamecube disks?

I'm thinking Ubisoft releases a Just Dance game every fall until the games sales are higher on Wii U than on Wii or the series dies completely -- whichever might come first.
