That depends on how you want to look at it. It could also be that pretty much every console is going back to normal and their predecessors were anomalies or just flat out fortuitous.

• 360 had the luxury of relaesing a year early, costing $300-$400 and
• PS3 decided to come a year late and at $500-$600 all the while
• having absolutely horrid marketing and damaging sony arrogance even worse off cause it was 
• During a recession then the angels from the east came with 
• Nintendo Wii and captured the hearts of the casual market only to lose it
• now with the wiiU and 3DS cause they wanna play flappy bird instead

So yeah, last gen was strange, even for the people that succeeded it was strange. I think that because of how well nintendo did last gen a lot of poeple forgot that they were a company that their last two consoles before the wii didnt sell more than 30M units. And I think sony did so poorly with the PS3 that they practically served up their market share on a plate to MS. Funny thing is, people waiting for sony until E3 2006 when they announced $599.

Comparing handhelds and home consoles are like comparing motorcycles and cars. They both get you places but are two entirely different products, sell for entirely different prices and sell to two entirely different demographcs.

Off the top of my head.

3DS has a good library and if recent numbers are to be believed, it has a good momentum going on in Europe. I think it does have a chance to catch up with Smash and Pokemon coming in November

LMAo so because of a couple weeks in a slow time of year you think 3ds is going to outsell ps4 every week? LOL no, just no. Amazing how people here jump to silly conclusions based on small sample siezes and an week oe two, the ps4 easily outsells 3ds yearly and lifetime. What happens when the loaded ffall gmes like destiny come? 3ds won't outsell ps4 that's what.

Since you're only 15 years old and just joined the site: don't take the numbers seriously. They change at a moment's notice. This site stubbornly told us Xbone was beating PS4 in the US charts and NPD kept proving that wrong. The 3DS is nowhere close to the PS4. The 3DS only shipped 600K between Jan-March. 3DS peaked, neither Pokemon or Smash will help the system. People who bought a 3DS for Pokemon already got one with X/Y. PS4 is getting Destiny, the biggest game of the year. It probably will sell more than 3DS and WIi U combined.
