It's sad to see Dragon Age: Origins become this... not that 'this' is particularly bad... But i agree wholeheartedly, Dragon Age just has something about it that is slightly boring... I don't get excited. I played 1 and 2 wayyy more than I care to admit, and even when I finally shipped 2 back to Gamefly, I was thinking to myself, "well that was kinda lame I don't know why I spent so much time on that" ... but when I see/read anything about the Witcher 3 it just gets me pumped. Sure they are eerily similar games.. but just something about it really grabs me a lot more.. I can't explain it entirely, but I totally agree with the OP.
I'm not going to lie, I'm actually more interested in Dragon Age at this point in time than The Witcher 3.
It looks cool but I think it lacks its own style. I could just as easily be Skyrim or some other game. I would prefer if the put more emphasis on creating a unique art style.
Looks good to me.
This genre is never that interesting to watch, but gets its hooks in you after a few hours of playing.

I get the impression Inquisition will hit the right keys, as it looks to have learnt what made Origins special for us fans and there's a Witcher 2 influence as well.
To those who have said that couldn't get into Origins, I bet you tried the console version, which was much more action oriented than the pc version, which I played on high difficulty and almost as a turn based game. Amazing experiencie and amazing story!
The best things to happen to Dragon Age were the Elder Scrolls going MMO and being delayed, and the Witcher 3 delay until spring.
Even if you think it looks boring, most western RPG fans will buy it because there are not many other choices this fall for their new consoles.
