People, especially teens, do not save their money. The majority of people buying systems are teens. S pay check from a part time job cannot buy a console and a game. People spend their money before they have enough to purchase the console. That is why consoles need to be250-300 dollars to hit a mass market. I know plenty of people that want to buy a game console but they end up spending their money of drugs or movie tickets before they have enough and they keep delaying their purchase

Plenty of phones and tablets are more expensive than a console which is vastly superior, and comes packed with more tech and accessories. $400 is not expensive for people who really want a console. If someone can't find it in themselves to buy a console is just their priorities are elsewhere or they're quite budget-constrained.

When you compare the $400 to a lot of mobile phones a lot of teens have, I'd have to disagree.
