Bullshit. I'm constantly seeing teens with the latest and most expensive phones, sneakers, beats headsets and other pointless expensive garbage AND they have money for drugs. I don't care what kind of payment plan they're on for these items, money isn't the problem with getting a console. They've got screwed up priorities AND I don't believe they're the majority picking up consoles.

Because if the majority perceives something is crap. You aren't going to buy it. You'll buy the other thing that is just boring. But will be better later.

As poorly as this was put forth, there is a lot of truth to consoles gaining considerable steam after sub $300 price point along with strong libraries of games not available on last gen. In this way I think 8g consoles will do well this holiday but do amazeballs 2015 with $299. I'm not ignoring the U either as it's also a question of perceived value. Great titles like smash kart Zelda along with $199 will make the U far more successful than most think possible. In fact one of their advantages is picking up customers that already have a ps4 or xb1, as the U makes more sense as a second console than owning the 4+one does (95% of ps4/xb1 games are identical).

nah.. not bullshit.. just the majority of these "teens" (under 20s) get all this stuff from mom and dad... but yea, i agree about the screwed up priorities part, but as for the picking up the consoles part, they're still waiting for mom and dad.

well there is the choice of an Wii, xbox360, PS3, and for new Consoles the Brand New WiiU, and Playstation TV, hell even OUYA are all low cost entry price point Game consoles now if you want one, you will have to pay more for the PS4 and XBOXONE because the hardware is more expensive..its just that Simple

A pair of Beats headphones are upwards o $200, yes HEADPHONES. That's half if what a Playstation 4 costs. With all the capabailties that's inside the PS4, I would say that the PS4 is too cheap.
