There's nothing wrong. Some fans like you have already DKCR and DKCTF to enjoy. It's time for some fans like me to have other games to enjoy from that talent developer, like Metroid or a 3D DK.

Yes there are always better things to do, but how different one kart racer can be? Seriously? Sonic All Star/Diddy Kong Racing are much more different than MK. So 1000 shooters can be made every 5 years. But only 1 kart racer should be made? C'mon now!

Don't know why you brought shooters into this. Sonic all star is still a kart racer. It's not like it's a driving sim vs. kart racer or anything. Either way, Kart Racers are just not something I give the smallest crap about it and should be a part of a bigger game, like a mini game or something.

Nice to see Nintendo fans praising Nintendo (prospective) games. Seriously, it is one of the most fragmented fanbase. We want 2D, no 3D DK, wait 2.5D. Just make Starfox, Metroid, blehhh F-Zero or nothing.

This Zelda is best or that. Poor Retro either way, whatever they make someone is bound to rage.

No, i've been waiting for a 3D DK game since the GCN released, and Metroid is a great franchise. I rather have had them over 2D DK. But to dismiss 2D DK are dumb especially when they arearguably some of the best 2D platformers to date.

I get why people were disappointed last e3 with dk reveal instead of Metroid, but wat does that have to do with the game itself? Nothing, to want a game to do bad (in sales) or hating the game cuz its not the [Insert Game]  you wanted is bad.

That said, I think people need to realize Retro isnt an independent company, so hating on them gets you nowhere as Nintendo is the one who makes the big decisions!

The string of coincidences seem plausible BUT I would rather it not be true.
I would rather Retro focus on something else.

Or if it is true, release in 2 years when the Mario Kart 8 train has died down.

if you are saying they won't make it suck.. then yeah.

..but a mid grade developer can take that existing franchise and make it not suck.  it has a pretty straight forward formula and it has a fairly casual appeal that means a few rough edges wouldn't be such a big deal.

retro did such an amazing job taking the core ideas of metroid and transforming it into a entirely new experience that was also amazingly nostalgic of everything that make the franchise great.   even though the gameplay wasn't a big shift they (i'm told) did a good job with donkey kong country as well.  retro deserves a more meaty project.  something that would truely drive wiiU sales, not something practically gaurenteed to flop or at best have low amount of success purely based on the franchise.

retro should either go back to 3D metroid (metroid prime 4) or (and this would be my preference) a 3D re-envisioning of the pokemon franchise on consoles.  pokemon on consoles has largely been unsuccessful.  retro is just the studio that can make something completely different but at the same time absolutely faithful to the franchise and create a big hit for wiiU.

You just proved my point. Cuz "You" dont like Kart Racers so it shouldnt be made. That means you have no say in it. If somebody isnt into shooters, and say all of them play the same they be dead wrong.

If you dont like the type of games fine, but that doesn't mean others wont. I personally dont like playing the real driving games (GT/Forza/etc) but if [Insert Company] announces a game, i wont be ranting about it and going off.
