I agree, Nintendo should be looking to expand userbase first as a priority, especially now that the Wii U is no longer sold at a loss.

True. New IPs and sequels to franchises thats not already on the WiiU...except Mario. I would like another 3D platformer

I would like a true, full scall 3D mario that matches the scale and quality of the Galaxy games. Not the half effort that 3D World was.

I liked 3D World, but yeah, a full on 3D Mario game is needed.

I'm pretty sure that a 3D Mario game thaf is more open-ended just like 64 could definitely help the WiiU..

Yes. One focused on SP would be appreciated

I mean, the Galaxy games and 3D World are amazing and all, but they aren't simply as rewarding as 64 when it comes to exploring the levels!

Well I prefer Galaxy to Mario 64 though...

Mario Galaxy is actually my favorite game of all time, but its linear structure was the only thing that kinda bugged me!

Hopefully the items are more balanced than they are in Mario Kart 8.

The Wii U's existing market base is unsustainably small. Appealing to just them is not enough for Nintendo to  survive.

I don't think a few "mature" titles on the Wii U will help at all. They'd need to go big or go home if they want to get those type of gamers on the Wii U or future consoles. One Metroid game won't do it.

Every game is just "one game" by itself, but each contributes to the cumulative impact of the whole.

I know. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that they need a lot of games like that, not just Metroid or Bayonetta here and there, in order to get those gamers. They need to be able to match the AAA output of competing hardware, but with just exclusives. Otherwise who in their right mind would go to Nintendo for those kinds of games when they get way more on PS4 or XBO?

No one used to the PS3/360 library is dropping $300 just for Metroid, no matter how good it is.

They have to pretty much do it alone though... Even if they started making games that appealed to those people, they would just have maybe one or two every year...
