I've played it plenty. It's good (besides the awful handling of the hovercrafts) but it's nothing Wii U needs now it already has MK8.
And Retro of all studios desperately needs something meatier to sink their teeth into.

For fucks sake all I want is Metroid Prime 4.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It's worth noting that the only mentions of karts in connection with this rumour have been references to Mario Kart and to the fact that one of the vehicles in the original DKR was a kart.
One thing that set DKR apart from Mario Kart 64, besides the single player story, was the fact that it had hovercrafts and planes. It's not implausible that they'll extend this further, and if karts even appear, they'll be just one of many vehicles.
"while I can’t confirm 100% it’s DKR2, I can confirm, perhaps well outside my comfort level, that they’re working on something for the WiiU that is pretty much talked about by everyone involved as the most exciting thing to be done on WiiU yet"
Definitely not Diddy Kong Racing 2 then.
Yay another racing game on a system in dire need of more racing games! All that's left is a platformer and the Wii U wll have it all!
"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"
3 year development cycle for a party racer? I can't even understand how they worked so long on DKC: TF because that game was only 8 hours long at best and 2D.
And lol at that quote of "everyone on the Wii U is looking forward to this". No one is...
Here's a crazy idea Nintendo, how about you get Retro to work on:
(A) A game that gamers actually want
(B) A type of game Wii U doesn't already have
and (C) Something with a little AMBITION.
