Shamefully enough... haven't played Mario Kart 8 yet. Loved 3D World though. I'm not too big into Mario Kart, so I'll probably like 3D World better.

Mario Kart 8. It's prettier, it's funnier and it lasts longer.

3D World. I like platformers alot:)

I've only played bits and pieces of both. Still haven't got my own Wii U. I chose 3D World because I like platformers > kart racers and I like single player > multiplayer.

That's kind of a loaded question. Mario 3D World, to me at least, obviously has a lot more content and a lot more going for it as a single player game. But again, obviously, MK8 has more "longevity" as a multiplayer title. They're both really good games.

However, I will say that Mario 3D World wins, in my opinion, simply because of the fact that the battle mode is gimped bullshit in MK8, keeping what could otherwise be a great game, only being a very good one.

They're both outstanding. Battle Mode in Mario Kart 8 is hugely disappointing, but fortunately I don't care about that feature.

Voting for Mario Kart, I guess.

mario kart has online mode. so it wins by default, even I personally feel Mario 3d world has better quality.

Both are amazing.

I had a blast with SM3DW playing with my girlfriend, my sister, my brother and even his girlfriend.
On the other hand i can just turn Wii U on and blue shell some over the internet after a long work day, and this is great.

Going to pick SM3DW because it held me until i got 100% and even after, despite the fact i am playing way more MK8 atm. Both are a must for Wii U owners, along W101 and WW:HD.

I got my Wii U for MK8, but I'd have to say that 3D World has been a funner experience for me, even in multiplayer (where MK usually shines.) That's not to say that MK8 isn't a fun game as well, but SM3DW really surprised me.
