Forums - Gaming Discussion - TLOU:R isn't worth it

Read the article, not just the headline. 48% of current PS4 owners according to this survey have not owned a PS3.

It's not up to you to decide what game deserves a rerelease, this game was wanted on PS4 since its release on PS3 and it will easily beat the 1 million mark on the new system (2 million+ is pretty probable actually), so who are you to say that the amount of effort, that had to be put into this, wasn't invested perfectly here?

48% didnt own a ps3? The number gets higher every time I hear about it.

It is worth for me. I didn't play the original on the PS3 and now is a great opportunity. The fact that it's 60FPS/1080p just makes it even better.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

bold: no zelda would be built from the ground in a few months and with a ridiculously small team. try gain.

bold 2: again, this is a ONE year old game.

1: The same applies to TLoU. No Uncharted or The Last of Us 2 would be built from the ground up in only a few months with a ridiculously small team. So, just like Nintendo, the argument about the effort taken to make those remasters doesn't stand in either case. Thank you. Very much.

2: Why does't it change anything? You went around what I asked you. So I'll ask again:
When is it the right time to re-release a game, exactly?

Is it after a set number of years? Or is it when there's a demand for the product?

I change my mind: It's worth it.

/End thread

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Again the age thing. Who cares if it's 1 year or 7 years old? It's still PS3->PS4 and that's all that matters. I'd rather get this remaster now then at the end of the ps4's life. Nothing would be gained from waiting until then.

bold: sure, it's up to logic to do that. and I'm using it to point why this game SHOULDN'T get a rerelease right NOW.

bold 2: No. I'd say 1kk maybe, not the hugest struggle but certainly not easily. 2kk, no.

Oh, logic of course....

Funny how you just freaking destroyed your own logic by admitting that the game should hit 1 million (and it will most likely hit 2, Sony will make sure of at least that, they want TLOU to become huge this gen), if you can remaster a game by putting relatively little effort into it and have it sell at least a million copies, then it'd be completely freaking illogical to not do it.

what? I said maybe and it doesn't make the remaster any less unecessary. too soon.

and how is sony suposed to "make sure" the bolded happens? it's not exactly in their hands.

You're still going around the question. Explain, once and for all, why you say it is too soon, despite the demand for it.

the team could have made something much more usefull, maybe remaster an older game if they really wanted to remaster something.

again, it's a one year old game. there isn't a set amount of years but common sense stills ays one year is far too soon.

I guess you're just joking, right? How is it not in their hands? They are selling it, aren't they? They can easily just bundle it for free for holidays with every PS4, and...presto.... 3+ million sold without blinking.

Obviously they won't be selling it to you, but I guess it's their cross to bear...
