Sounds good, but why was the stock of the new model so limited?

maybe because the Vita would barely do 2k per week in the US?

Why make more consoles than you sell?

Yeah, but it's still weird. Sounds like Sony didn't believe that the new model would sell.

let me just quote this again.

This episode was brought to you by the letter... "CROW. "

" Stock Shortage " , NA have been selling below 5k Vita(s) constantly every week . If there was a demand they would have resolved it weeks ago and not now

I checked all the sites. They are not selling it. Amazon has it but it is from third party sellers. Sad to think this may be the last major year for vita and it still has no major games. I really feel happy not getting a vita when I could have.

Are you on an agenda here? Cause you sure sound so.

There are a lot of games coming, in fact Vita's 2014 library can be considered among the strongest libraries of all platforms for this year. Seriously. We just got info about Freedom Wars selling 190k at retail in Japan FW - a very nice score, I hope it can get to 1 mil.

Not on an agenda, just legitimately shocked so many people here actually care if the Vita is discontinued. Freedom Wars, which is probably a good game, isn't the game Vita needs right now though to gain retail space.

Some people really love the system (it's the one I play the most). I'd like if all the people shocked at it possibly being discontinued in NA moved their butts and bought it asap. It's totally worth it.

FW is exactly that kind of game... For Japan. The West needs different games obviously and it needs both 1st and 3rd party titles. Unfortunately Sony doesn't care and only serves us localised Japanese games when it comes to big hitters. Which is really sad They should go after more ports at least, especially of old PC games (wRPGs mainly). I can't wait for Grim Fandango, had a blast playing Another World (looks incredible on the OLED!!). This could really work, wouldn't turn Vita into a PS4-type of success, but would stop it from being D00M3D!! They should also start marketing it, cause as I've said, the 2014 lineup is actually really impressive. Just that not many people know it.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

this is for sure weird, at Best Buy we went two months without vitas waiting for the borderlands bundle, so i can't imagine in all that time Sony wasn't prepared to replenish stock as needed.

I've noticed this weeks ago.
SCEA is doing a horrific job even in trying to sell it as an expensive peripheral.
