I never even touched it but the NES controller is the obvious answer.

How can people hate on the n64 controller? I was playing with it last week, it fits well on the hands (I'd actually prefer it a bit bigger), the face buttons are very accessible, including the c-buttons, there were plenty of them, and R and Z were at the exact position you fingers would naturally rest grabing the controller, which had nice curves to it to acomodate the hand. The analogue position is, imo, better than that on Dual Shocks, too. I think it can get a little getting used to indeedn but I can't understand all the hate.

Me neither, now that I've seen your post.

Ask and you shall receive

It seems like everyone forgot about this one.

The Wii remote was by far my least favorite. I prefer any traditional controller over a gimicky one. It was fun in small doses with Wii Sports, outside of that (and maybe Zelda but with Wii motion plus) it was the worst.

I am surprised that the N64 controller is getting so much hate. If you ignore the left handle (which you should, no game ever needed it), that controller was pretty great. Almost perfect for the intro into 3D gaming.

The N64 controller was good for its time, but going back and using it now it's definitely the worst to me.

I love all of their other controllers.

The GameCube controller was fairly shat. Perhaps the worst console controller of all time. It was cheap feeling and looked more like a toy than a controller. It also was less useful than previous controllers due to its f'd up d-pad and unusable facebutton configuration, not to mention the really cheap feeling triggers with the springs in them. It was just a bad controller with lots of things that were not very usable: the d-pad was too small, the shoulder buttons were squishy and unresponsive, Y, Z, and X buttons were awkwardly placed and difficult to reach, the right analog stick REALLY looked like something out of Fisher Price. It was really just a two button controller with a bad analog stick.

I don't think anyone who praises it is actually being sincere.

This. It was also hilariously tiny and uncomfortable if you had hands larger than an elf.

wow all this hate for n64 controller? its the most intuitive they had. Shoulder for fighters and middle and right for everything else

I actually rather liked the GameCube controller.

Wavebird for the win.

This is the Game of Thrones

NES controller for mine...
