I think so, and I really hope so. I'm growing to despise competitive gameplay. In fact, the most fun I've had last generation was in MGS Peace Walker doing co-op missions with friends.

I hope so, although local co-op will also be a superior experience. Unless MS can make Skype work in snap more while playing games :).

There were a lot of cooperative games on the seventh gen, though.

Sounds good to me. I like co-op. Think about it, even competitive games are best played in teams. FFA is no fun, amiright?
