As a zombie fan, I'm displeased that you consider infected from Sunset Overdrive or The Last of Us "zombies".

Define "zombie"

Looks zombie enough to me. Same concept and all for the most part (humans get infected and turn into mindless killers)

A zombie is a dead person which becomes reanimated into something different.  In TLOU the infected hasnt died. They are still alive but are just unable to control their bodies.  It is like the bug in limbo if you ever played that.  I wouldnt call that a zombie. Go look up cordyceps. There is a clear difference between original zombie lore and rabies like infections but sadly modern media takes too much liberties when making something zombie related that people gets confused about the two.  It would be like if werewolves and vampires were suddenly seen as the same thing in the general publics eyes

TLOU is practically the definition of a zombie game. Regardless of whether or not the Z word is used in-game, the story and gameplay follow all the tropes of a zombie story/game. It doesn't matter if the zombies have decomposing heads or sponge heads or fish heads.

I love zombies. Cant wait for Dying Light and Dead Island 2, so write away:)

Well Zombies did start off as an undead person brought back by magical means...

That's not how George Romero described it.

Why, it's better than jumping on turtles..

I don't see TLOU as a zombie-style game. Well it doesn't have as much emphasis to me as the OP wants to make it out to be, and even though the infected play a big role, the game isn't about the infected first and foremost.

But now that the OP is so concerned about the 'zombies', then I don't see why not complain about the quantity of shooters on XB for example, or platformer Mario formula on Ninty. And why? because as long as it sells there's no reason for stop funding the idea. And no, your letters won't make they change their minds, OP.

Infected or zombies or w/ver, as long as they are somewhat intelligent, challenging, creepy and don't fall too much into the stearotype that started in RE days, I'm ready to happily take their heads out!

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

The Last of Us and DayZ are spectacular, some of the best games I have played in recent years.

It looks like a zombie. It acts like a zombie. It's a zombie.

It even bites people as its way of spreading the infextion. Just because ND put a slight spin on it doesn't mean it's not a zombie.

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

There is no such thing as too many Zombie games. Every game needs a Zombie mode, we need a Zombie console next.

Sunset Overdrive and DayZ aren't even available on PS4.

Also if you want something new try The Order: 1886 next year which has werewolves.
