I never keep more than one a gen because I don't like spending all my money on gaming. I'll likely still play some Wii U at a friends house in the future. I sold it in favor of the PS4 for a few reasons.

1) I wanted to try something new. Nintendo was starting to feel less exciting to me. 

2) PS4 seems like a better overall value as it has PS Plus, and will get a ton of games, Wii U won't.

3) For the first time, I don't trust where Nintendo is headed in the future.

I would also check out Outlast, Don't Starve, Entwined, Warthunder, Watchdogs and Infamous SS.

Since you into racing and platforming theres NFS and Knack (which didn't review too well).

Driveclub will be coming soon too and it looks amazing.

Oh and theres the new UFC game...

Outlast is pretty good if you like horror games.

You shouldn't sell wii u, it doesn't have a whole lot of games coming out, but would be a great combo with PS4. Though I hope you enjoy it anyway :)

You didn't say a genre, but if you played Nintendo consoles for so long I assume you like platforming, so get LBP3, which is coming out this nov. The last of us remaster if you didn't tried the game on ps3. Infamous and Need for speed are great games too.

I'm getting LBP3 for sure. The first game was one of my favorites from last gen. I never got the 2nd game because the PS3 I had access to from a friend broke.

Resogun, Steamworld dig, Don't starve, Infamous second son, Warthunder, Tomb Raider, FF14, child of light, and the last of us will be out soon. The game of last gen and quite possibly one of the best games ever made.

Also look into Knack if you can find it for cheap, which you should be able to.

Congratz man. Seeing as you've never played much outside of Nintendo games you'll be pretty much discovering a new exiciting side to gaming you are yet to experience! I have no idea how that must feel like lol. But i´m sure it´s like a kid in a candy store. Have fun and don´t limit yourself to first party games on the PS4, also there are a lot of games on PSN that are cheap and a lot of fun. Look up some reviews on youtube or try the demos when in doubt.
