It's really just Resogun and inFamous SS that stand out, let's face it, Killzone wasn't that great. Then you get a bunch of HD collection shit that you prolly already played, and mostly non-exclusive indie games. It's pretty barren man. Wii U has more newer games right now, that's just the reality of the situation, and I see no point with the PS4 right now since my PS3 still works great with a ton of backlogs, hence why I also mentioned earlier that he should have gone for a PS3 instead. The PS4 and X1 are not great purchases right now and I also regret buying a Wii U on day 1 as well(never 1st day again, on anything.)

It is a long term investment. He bought a console not only for the current library of games ( which is decent btw)  but mainly for the bright future ahead of it. Also, maybe the guy is not interested in Nintendo's formula and vision of gaming anymore? Why would anyone argues against his new preference if it wasn't for revenge and reclaiming their lost glory in the console war?

And it is still happening, hah.

The thread title was designed to draw out the trolls, almost. "I just got a PS4" is very different than "I'm leaving Nintendo for the first time in 18 years." Most of the posts criticizing the move are completely called-for by the title, except for a handful of points that get a little too personal. It'd be one thing if people were picking on it as an aside written in the OP, but it's designed to draw people in, like the wave of attention-seeking "I'm done with Nintendo!" posts that finally drove me off of Joystiq back in 2008.

To be fair, you can have expensive things without having the money to pay for more expensive things. That's kind of where i'm at right now. Every game purchase is precious because it's eating into my savings (not my real savings, thank goodness I haven't had to tap that account yet, but it's money spent that i'm not making back at the moment).

So Op, if you sign up for the 14 day trial for ps+ right now you can get pixel junk shooter, trine 2 and on July 2nd those go away and you can get strider and towerfall.

Then you can get TLoU bundle about a week after it releases and 2 more games should pop up on ps+.

But remember, you have to purchase the games while they are available.

I gave up on Nintendo consoles this gen for good.  I sold the Wii U and never once looked back.

In my opinion you should have gotten a Xbox One, then picked up Killetr Instinct with Sabrewulf for $1 with the sale that is going on right now. I have yet to have guests even mention the PS4 after some playtime with Killer Instinct on X1.  ;)

UPDATE:  Swtiched to PS4.  Microsoft blew it skipping Final Fantasy 14: A Real Reborn, which I will be playing soon and selling Xbox One.
