Zelda U gameplay > TLG CGI
That's the major difference I see.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Oh that's cute. You actually think TLG will ever be released.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
I had to laugh when I saw the release date of TLG on the YouTube page, it's set to release in 2010 on PlayStation 3 :D

Hahaha At least he has hope. Even Sony fans are losing hope that TLG will release. We'll definitely see Zelda before that game.

You're contradicting yourself.
Suggestion - watch the trailer again, then pay attention to how everything else but the kid is rendered VS how the kid is rendered.
Kid pops out from everything. They are most likely using different shader for him, one that is more cartooney.
For comaparison, check old vs 'new' trailer...in old, everything is rendered the same way:
If you still don't see it, I'm afraid I cannot help you anymore than that.

I agree with you, the kid sticks out where as the rest looks more realistic.

I've already seen the trailer. I'm not an idiot. I stand by what I said. The the kid sticks out because that's the style, not because he's anime and everything else is realistic. I said that the only thing anime about him are his eyes because that's how all anime like this are. Everything else is made in realistic porportions. This is as realistic as it gets when it comes to anime. There is no "cartoony" shader. The old one has less bloom and the kid has darker skin. That's all. He looks just as anime as he does in the newer one.

If that's CGI, then it's exceptionally poor one with all the shimmering, rough geometry and low quality textures.
Also, it might be better to refrain from commenting for another year on how much of that Zelda trailer is actual gameplay, due to highly suspicious absence of any aliasing in offical screenshots.
As for what art style looks better, I'm afraid it comes down to personal preference.
Zelda U looks a little more colorful to me and less realistic compared to the Last Guardian

It's completely irrelevant if he is anime or not, nor does having realistic proportions defines if something is cartooney or not. They are using different approach for rendering kid and he looks more cartooney than the rest of the scene.
If you can't see it, I'm sorry, and considering that, from all your posts I've seen since you joined the forum, talking to you is as productive as talking to a wall, I won't be answering further.
